THEORY: Possible Events that Might Occur in PB2.5/3

Postby Paul Jackson CS » 9 July 2021, 00:01

*INTRODUCTION*

For the past 10 years, players have been experiencing the PB2 campaign. The purpose of a campaign is not only to show us the story of a game, but it's also to give us a few hints about what we're going to see in the next game. So today, we are going to be talking about some events that may occur in the PB2.5/3 campaign. So, without further ado, let's get started.

*POSSIBLE USURPATION FOES*

At the end of level 41, we see that Usurpation Destroyers are guarding the time machine and a bunch of Corvettes. In any case, why would the Usurpations guard the time machine? Perhaps the Usurpations have found it and are using the time machine. The heavily armed CS Bosses in level 40 also seem to be preparing for an assault - an assault aimed at taking down the Corvettes, killing the Usurpation Destroyers, and getting into the time machine, presumably. Based on this, we can say that the Usurpations will be a possible enemy in PB2.5/3's campaign. I am not sure about Civil Security because the CS Bosses that were attempting to conduct an assault were killed by the trio (the Marine, Noir Lime, and Proxy). However, Eric has stated that Civil Security will be mentioned in PB2.5/3's campaign. So, Civil Security won't be forgotten.

*POSSIBLE CIVIL SECURITY FOES (or allies)*

In the previous section, I stated that Civil Security will not be forgotten. In level 41, the trio travels back in time. CS patrols might have come into the base to see what was going on. I mean the trio killed a lot of valuable CS units that were readying for an assault. The CS patrol units may conclude that the trio entered the time machine after observing the aftermath. Another conflict between the trio and Civil Security could result from this situation. Alternatively, Civil Security could become an ally of the trio, establishing a human relationship that doesn't involve killing each other. This time, CS would be a little less advanced since the trio would actually be in the past rather than erroneously being in the future, in which the Usurpation invasion has already begun.

*POSSIBLE SACRIFICE OF THE MARINE*

There has been a separate theory regarding the sacrifice of the Marine. In PB2.5/3, could the Marine sacrifice himself? It is important to understand that the Marine is not selfish and will do pretty much anything to complete his mission. In level 19, the Marine literally swims through an acid pool surrounded by bodies of Usurpation soldiers. I don't know about you, but I would be quite intimidated by that. Then again, the Marine is not scared of jumping into random pits. He is definitely a very courageous individual. There may come a time when the only way to save humanity (or prevent the war) is for the Marine to sacrifice himself. In the absence of future PB projects, this would be a nice end to the PB series. It appears Noir Lime and the Marine were not sent back in time for them to return. Noir Lime and the Marine were not sent back in time to celebrate their accomplishments when they returned.

*POSSIBLE CONFRONTATION WITH CORRECTION NINE*

Correction Nine is the one who started the invasion due to their long-range portal testing. It is quite possible that Marine has to confront Correction Nine and tell them to halt the project. This may lead to a vicious conflict in which the Marine and Noir Lime are forced to kill their former allies. This would start an interesting campaign (or part of the campaign). Who knows, perhaps this will show us that Correction Nine is actually malicious.

*CONCLUSION*

I have mentioned four events that might happen in PB2.5/3. It is also quite probable that none of the events mentioned in this post will occur in PB2.5/3. There are obviously going to be more events that are going to happen PB2.5/3. We may not even be able to see the Usurpations nor Civil Security. I honestly think that it is more likely that we would see Civil Security. But who knows what the PB2.5/3 campaign has to offer.

*CREATOR'S NOTE*

This post didn't that much time to create, but, it was just sitting in my drafts for like two months. So, I added some things to it and posted it. This post was also quite fun to create. Honestly, I enjoy reading and writing lore posts. That's all for today, and don't forget to provide me with your feedback. Feedback helps me improve my posts. Anyways, I will see you guys later, peace.

*DISCLAIMER*

This post is pure speculation. Please don't blow your gutters over the points that were made over this post. Remember, '"this is just a theory, a game theory".

Ah yes, Proxy, the runaway prisoner who escapes from Civil Security to spare her life.

How do you spare yourself from yourself, via having a multiple personality disorder?

Her background is definitely out of the dump.

Do you mean she escaped a literal dump, or it's an unhappy situation, because for the latter it'd be "down in the dumps", but even then that expression is for people, not situations. Situations don't have feelings.

We have to take into account that Proxy allies with the Marine and Noir Lime to spare her life from Civil Security.

Could've left this information in the first quote to avoid pointless repetition bloat.

It makes sense for Proxy to eventually turn on the MCs, especially if she doesn't get her way.

1 - She's stuck with them.
2 - They share the same enemies.
3 - She's a teammate + a playable character.
4 - Marine and Noir have nothing valuable such as a means of transport.
5 - There's nothing foreshadowing that.
No it doesn't make sense.

In PB2.5/3, there can come a time where Proxy has a plan and it's denied by the MCs.

This can be flipped any way, if anything Marine & Noir are the ones with an actual plan, and thus are more likely to kill Proxy if we follow your logic. But this brings us nothing since there's next to no story and you provide no motivations.

Again, we have to take into account that she allies with the Marine for her own bit of selfishness.

Again, we have to take into account that he (Marine) allies with Proxy for his own bit of selfishness. Hence why Noir Lime is going to nuke Earth and send Eric Gurt revenge porn.

Of course, fighting with Proxy is going to be quite the challenge, considering how skilled she is in combat.

Probably crushed by a door.

Gashadokuro, I completely removed the Proxy betrayal theory from the post because it was just bloat, and I understand that I didn't make any sense whatsoever.

There's no Marine clone, it's a CS soldier in a copy of the Marine suit.

Yep, same thing. Clone means "a copy of something". The Marine's suit was cloned and a CS soldier was put inside it. Also, in the official wiki, the copy of the Marine is referred to as "his clone".
