section 21

if you don't remember what is it - it's a site section where every community member can vote for or against certain map's approval

here is a suggestion: don't let eric approve shitty maps. implement section 21 instead

how it would work: you post your map in that section, wait till it gets 300 positive votes, and after eric's review - boom, approved.

every negative vote lowers the amount of positive votes

only players who have been active for 3 months are allowed to vote.

"activity" includes playing multiplayer maps at least 30 minutes a week OR 1 forum post every 3 days OR 1 hour chatting per week. copleting any of aforementioned doings for 3 months will give you a right to vote in section 21

if you took a break from the game(longer than 3 weeks) your activity counter resets

to avoid "very impractical vote farming" pb2.5 should have a phone confirmation system. this way you won't be able to get onto the site with different IP, login and logout from hundreds accounts and farm votes

-edit- actually u know we dont ned activity counter. just implement phone confirmation system. it will also help u staffs

no thanks i dont want a bunch of kids who dont know what a map is voting to get a terrible map approved or to vote against maps that actually """deserve approval""", i'd rather keep it so that 1 person is responsible for approving bad maps so i know who to blame

and the last thing i definitely dont want is a selected group to pick maps either because their viewpoints will end up clashing more than cooperating

also gl getting 300 votes when ppl struggle to get 3 even by begging lmao

plenty of ppl dont have phones so instead of reducing farming, you're only reducing the max number of ppl that can participate

email confirmation is more than enough

creating a new e-mail is a matter of 2 minutes. it won't solve the farming issue

it's 21th century. people who don't have a mobile phone? are you kidding me? even 6 years old have iphones or at least shitty old nokias

not everyone follows this trend, this being the 21st century is not a valid reason for everyone to have a phone; cars were insanely expensive in the 1920s but everyone should've had one regardless because it was the 20th century

farming's always going to be an issue, most ppl make throwaway emails that they'll forget in an hour

you might as well carry the 200 kill requirement over so anyone and everyone can have an opportunity to vote
