Cannot connect to multiplayer using standalone flash player

I am unable to connect to the multiplayer servers despite using the standalone flash projector with the .swf file downloaded from the official website.

I simply get the response "Multiplayer is only available at official website and official version of plazma burst 2"

I use a 11 year old mac on version 10.12 if that's relevant.

Hi, did you follow all the instructions on here: https://www.plazmaburst2.com/pb2/mac_download.html

Make sure you do not rename the .swf file in anyway otherwise the anti-cheat check will be triggered.
It should be named "pb2_re34.swf" or "pb2_re34_alt.swf", if it isn't rename it back.
