Hey miroBG,
I have tested running the standalone on Ubuntu with the help of Wine.
Unfortunately, the launcher does not seem to work with Linux, after installation of .NET Core.
However, (like in Win XP), you are still able to open and run the .swf file in the data folder directly. You will need a Flash Projector to run the .swf file.
https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/f ... _64.tar.gzClick on the link to download the Flash Projector, and then extract it. Open the folder and run the "flashplayer" binary by double clicking it.
Next, go to 'File' and press 'Open..'. Navigate to the 'data' folder (in the Launcher folder) and open
pb2_re34_alt.swf.
Running the .swf file directly means your account state is not synced with the file. As far as I am concern there is no way around this, but you still can connect to MP and play some matches. (Although I experience certain sound delay, not sure if it's the cause of the flash projector or my Virtual Machine..)
Here's proof of me playing PB2 on Ubuntu:
