I fear the amount of people who will just delete entire sections by editing to troll, of course we can ban them and save back-ups for every page to avoid losing info but it's time-consuming ... How much of this happens on the unofficial wiki? I don't really go there so I'm not sure.

... Anyways overall I think it would be good to have the wiki in a visible position so that new players can get background info on the game, we just need to be careful about how we allow editing rights to prevent trolling.

In that case I see no reason to make the wiki official and a part of the website, as I said in my previous post it allows new users to explore the game more, really get into it. Someone give a reason not to do this.

I figure a system where only certain users/staff can edit it would be fair and people could suggest edits. However I'm pretty sure that would not work on the current platform the wiki is on atm.
who needs a PB2.5 release date, anyways?

No that's to strict in all honesty. Like, you don't see Wikipedia only allowing their staff edit articles, do they?

It's not just staff, it would be people who have proven they can edit pages and not just spam stuff into pages.

Or at least making people have to make an account before editing, I guess

I think the issue would be filtering out who would and who wouldn't be able to edit the wiki. I feel like it should be users who are normally active in the forums not necessarily base it on kills or having an account. And only allowing players to edit if they have a clean record of not getting banned frequently. Or something of the sort.

This sounds much better than a simple 200 kill minimum requirement to edit everything, it just needs to be condensed into some simple requirements rather than a vague explanation, hm ...

- Minimum 50 posts on the forums.
- Account has to exist for at least 3 months.
- No bans on the account in the past six months.
- No more than 3 bans on the account for all time.

How does that sound?

Sounds good.
About first point. Currently I see only
53 persons who have more than 50 posts on the forums. Of course in the future this number can increase, but I don't think it will be big.

This is a public wiki for a flash game, not a top secret government site. Requirements should be simple, no need to overcomplicate things. Whatever drama happens on the wiki, would probably be the same on anywhere else on PB2 but you don't see such harsh requirements in using the forums, chat or site (+MP).

There, an example how to fix problems, judging on the state of this community and whatever incidents happened in the past, the probability of someone causing massive mayhem on the wiki is unlikely. Possible, but unlikely.

Aight, also shorten the quote, because long quotes tend to cause flooding.
