Forum Poll or Discord Poll?

Postby Phant0mB0nnie » 21 December 2020, 20:40

I'm making another poll! :D
Do you like the forum polls better or #community-polls on Discord?
You can change your vote BTW.

in my opinion, which is:
1) forum polls gives too basic "css" (aka artistic if you want human language) and too basic options there due to how phpbb can handle, and it's roughly to my favorite list compared to other polling station.
2) discord polls runs by bots, which is unstable af and sometimes discord bot can be rate-limited due to how discord ToS works.

Forum polls can't change, but discord polls can improve.

let me talk about the polls, that PEPE2 forums got polls and discord didn't ever develop a poll officially, they just made an idea of using emoji voting as for polls so PB2 forums got it's own developed polls, basically, discord has a much faster and easier way of making polls and also voting, in discord u can see reactions for who voted, unlike the forums of PB2, it doesn't allow you to see the voters, and u gotta need to click on the choice and then submit and that is a bit boring and the forums have an annoying percentage counting but that also reflect negatively on discord that the discord polls don't have percentage counting, but still, both are good.

forum polls gives the voters a chance to explain their votes
discord polls are based on votes only without explanation

Forum polls are imo better because you can explain why you chose that option, in the discord you cant.
Also screw the PB2 discord.
Nobody actually plays this game now, do they?

Discord polls are quicker and get more votes than the forum, but the forum has constructive input.

ideally you should use both at the same time.
