Who've done it?

Postby Nutkiplit809 » 5 February 2017, 09:55

This is a game 'Who've done it?'. Its based of a party game Mafia.
The instructions are very important. Sorry for letting you read this for too long.

Illustrations are shown after 1 'day'.

How to play

10 players will say /join to enter the game.
I will PM each player on who will either the Killer, Medic, Townsperson, or the Sheriff

--

Objective

The Killer's objective is to kill everyone.
The Medic's objective is to prevent the Killer from killing the selected person
The Townspeople's objective is to point out who is the Killer
The Sherrif's objective is to find out who is the Killer
Lying is allowed

--

How it goes

Everyone will 'fall asleep'.
Ill PM the Killer and he will PM back who he wants to kill
Then, ill PM the Medic and tell him who to save
After, ill PM the Sheriff on who he/she think is the Killer

--

When someone is dead

Everyone will 'wake up'
Then, all of them will figure out who is the Killer
Everyone shall vote who will be executed
When someone have the highest votes, they will be executed
When 2 or more people have the same votes, they will reason out that if they are/not the Killer
Then, again the people will vote among the people who is the Killer
When someone is executed, I will tell what role are they
If they execute the wrong person, they will be eliminated and wait for another round
The Killer still lives and the same procedure goes on

YOU CANT TELL WHAT ROLE ARE YOU PLAYING AS. EVEN AT CHAT, GAME, etc.

--

When the Killer is dead, the round ends and ill wait for another 10 people

--

When the Medic is dead, no one can be saved

--

When the Sheriff is dead, the Townspeople should accuse randomly

--

When the Killer is still alive and there are 2 people remaining, the Killer wins

Sorry, but I don't see this taking off.

The townsmen will basically be nothing but a bloodthirsty mob throwing accusations without any proof other than their "gut feeling", not to mention how boring it would be to play as one. The sheriff role is just a glorified townsmen without any actual abilities. The medic and killer are the only ones that have an actual impact on the game.

In the end, this is just a dumbed-down, much slower version of Town of Salem. If you want to play something like this, gather a group of people and play ToS.

You do realize that Town of Salem is based on the Mafia Party Game which existed many years ago before BlankMediaGames executed their game horribly, right?

I do, but my point still stands. This version of Mafia proposed by Nutkip IS dumbed down, and slower than ToS. There is no reason to play this version over BMG's, however bad you think ToS is.
