Yet the SMG isn't? It performs literally the same way yet you rated it higher.

It's better to recycle already used sound assets than to make new ones in order to reduce game file size, hence why 99% of the game's assets use Half Life 2 sound effects.

If those weren't in the PB2 art style then those guns wouldn't have been added at all so surely they clearly must be in PB2's style if Eric himself added them in the game

That's not a good reason why any gun shouldn't be in the game. There's quite a few weapons that don't "fit" in approved maps but are still around in the game. Laser rifles have their place outside of approved maps too.

Speaking of laser rifles, I forgot to mention that the laser should actually resemble a laser.

The laser rifles having a cooldown is a good balance considering its stats as a constant beam weapon. It doesn't hinder the weapon's performance in any way aside from keeping people from spamming the weapon which is nice.

At least the Usurpation sniper rifle fits in with the design now. The RMK also having bullet impacts is also nice but I'm not sure if the BNG bullets fit. The Needle sounding suppressed is also a nice touch too as well as the LMG having the CS-RC firing sound but the red tracers make it all too weird. Having it shoot yellow tracers like the CS weapons might fix that. Also the SMG having a name now gives the weapon a little more personality and identity which is always welcome.

The Falkok shotgun being burst definitely makes it unique in its class now, along with its higher RoF. It could be fun to use in MP. The grenade launcher functioning like a shotgun places itself above the other grenade launcher by default since it fires 3 at a time as opposed to the CS launcher's 1 grenade. This one could definitely be fun in custom maps.

The only gun that still seems out of place is the RMK. It should look like a rifle version of the BNG with green coloring and everything, right now it looks like a basic machine gun. The ray rifle has the style of the ray gun so this would make sense.

A few of the guns need a new sound effect such as the Gauss rifle, Energy Rifle, and falkokian guns.
Also it would be nice for the rpg rocket to follow your cursor around.

now the stuff that should be changed
needle should be idk AVS-65 Needle cuz it looks like the AV-135, RPG should have a number after its name, RPG-80 or something
also the minigun should be renamed to other thing, because it isnt a minigun, its a machine gun, so LMG-01m maybe idk, CS LMG-01m!
CP-Assault rifle is pretty good, what about Assault rifle-CPW or something like this
and i think that is it

Too bulky. Why isn't there a Falkok Boss, or an Usurper Heavy?
The legs are huge. Excessively huge. Overall, this skin isn't going to be popular with PB2 players.


Questions for Eric

- Will these skins make it to Plazma Burst 2.5 also?
- When will they get added to profile editor (and be usable?)
- Will any of these be PB2.5 campaign charracters (reffering to question 1)
-When is the update coming out?

Would be cool if there was a gun that shoots a large rocket and the rocket would fire little bullets while in flight. It probably would not fit pb2 but imagine being able to shoot a rocket flying by a camping spot while the little bullets would attack guarded players.

I mostly like this upcoming update, except for some things:
1.- PB:FttP guns not included, as well as textures of it for barrels, BGs, floor, "glass", etc...
2.- Lowest rank of Human Faction is replaced with the non-existent (Until now, it seems) Rank 4.
3.- Old Grub skin and Grub guns, which would be made by triggers, replacing swords. (For example, the grub using its characteristic yellow bullet rifle arm.)
add vehicles to multiplayer plz XD

i like how the falkonian guns function now. they are very close to how i envisioned them, and i appreciate that

if they could receive new/unique sounds, that'd be great too; however, i'll let eric decide if thats worth the time to invest in.

About my guns.

ALR. Not 100% of my suggestions, but considering PB2 engine it's ok. If it will be added in 2.5 I'm sure it will work better. Laser has the same effect of hitting a wall as other non-explosive projectilies. And it cause a bit of lags because of insane fire rate of this weapon (8 shots/sec). In future the effect has to be replaced by tiny cloud of smoke. By the way I'm thinking about changing White ALR's design to make a better version, because we don't need two equal gun in different colors, right? For example Alien Shotgun is better version of Alien Rifle. What do you think guys?

Autocannon. I like little re-design and this blinking lights when firing. But why it became bigger in size and in line width? Even HW Cannon don't have such thickness. I wanted it usable by characters. That's why it was small. Maybe it is bad idea for such class of weapon? In comparison:

I like all the weapons and skins, but for the characters where do they become canon to the story? All of them except the Falkok Boss and maybe the new Android have no explanation to where they came from and what role they play in PB2.

The beam was actually the same thickness as the current one. The glow effect is just so strong that it makes the beam look thicker when it's not. A player might also expect a bigger impact radius considering the "thickness" of that beam isn't as narrow and precise as the current one.

The Civil Protector skin seems fairly easy to implement in terms of the canon, based off the name alone. The alien skin whose name I forget quickly enough is going to be a challenge to fit in though, considering it technically just appears out of nowhere in the game rather than being introduced in a story mission.

Of course, they don't have to be exactly canon. They could just be additions similar to the Star Defender update as long as they don't interfere with the story.

Alien Sniper Rifle. Remade option of the stolen CS sniper rifle. The old version was weird however it supplemented the alien weapon set except its dark color. The new version looks like the old upgraded to lvl 8. I wonder who changed design? Eric or Darkstar1? So, this version perfectly fit the rest of alien guns and have the greatest damage among the other sniper rifles. It has pale laser which can be noticed when it's too late. Maybe blue color would be better.

Gauss Rifle. I suggest to remake its projectiles to short variant of railgun's projectiles.

Falkonian kit. I suggest to remake its usual projectiles to this:

Of course if Darkstar1 don't against it. Also, if Eric will take them in 2.5 officially, then it is necessary to make couple of skins and some unique weapons for them.
