Remove the guests abilities.

Postby shadowstorm122 » 13 March 2016, 01:17

You probably hate it when a Guest goes full rage mode on you and can't deal with them because they are not bannable right? Well my idea is that we don't give guests the right to talk because most of them abuse it.

I actually agree.

A guest should be restricted to certain things, they're ONLY guests.

Think of it as like the trial version of an online product. They're not giving you every feature, but rather giving you a taste of what it would be like if you bought the full product.

I feel like disabling the chat for guests would be good, because at the moment guests can say or do anything they want and get away with it. Additionally, it might motivate them to spend a few minutes to make an account.

That's my take on it.

xD The way you said that made me laugh, and I do agree with what you're proposing here, for the same sort of reasons as mingo and the fact that a lot of them do abuse the speaking right.

#MakePB2GreatAgain I guess : P

I like this idea.

Guests shouldn't be able to play ranked/approved matches. They should only play Unranked and Custom maps.

I also agree. This would make dealing with rule breakers much easier, as people couldn't abuse kicking and other stuff without making an account.
who needs a PB2.5 release date, anyways?

I like this idea for the reasons stated above as well as:

By having guests not able to talk it also offers an incentive to get an account. People normally want all privileges possible.

Well ... yes guests are indeed guests, but they shouldn't be given all of the privileges which a registered user who can actually be held to account for his actions has, because they will, (and do), abuse them.

If guests can't talk it gives people more of an incentive to actually create an account, which makes the game appear more popular because more accounts will be registered. And, as I have already mentioned several times, it means that people can't play as guests and abuse their anonymity.

Not necessarily, removing their ability to talk means that they can't get into trouble and if they do make an account then it would mean that they can be dealt with if they do break the rules.

I agree so much
Removing the Ability of a Guest kicking another Player would be Very Helpful.
But Im Neutral about Guests Speaking...
(So i don't Get kicked in all of my matches ; w ; )

But they are still People ; w ;!
I like those Very Skilled "Guest" players though.
and people even always think I am a guest due to my Name.

you were a guest at some point too. be nice lol
some of them are nice and make accounts.

Kostadin 8 wrote:i agree with Kratos_ if guests cant talk the game will lose popularity.

I feel that if they have less privileges they will want to make an account sooner. I know a guest who plays on a guest account. I've known him for a few months and the only reason he doesn't make an account is bc there isn''t really any difference in game.

Honestly I would make an account quicker if I had less privileges. I would want to have an account rather than be a guest.[/quote]

I am going to go rebel mode on the community... I don't want the guests to lose their ability to talk, I mean I am mainly in California and ukraine server so I may not understand but taking their speech away is a bit excessive. I hardly ever see them abuse this right they are given. Yeah registering is easy but what if they don't have an email or they just want to play and talk to people every once in awhile?
