STOP SPAWNKILLING.

I thought we can do something to stop the spawnkilling in DM/TDM. When a player dies, he gets a shield which protects him for 5 seconds. in these 5 seconds. the player cant kill him and the person with the shield can't kill anyone.
You will be a ghost that bullets go through you, you can't get sliced and you can't slice. You only can pick up guns and you can shoot only when the shield runs off.

That is only my idea.

CAPS LOCK MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER

One thing I have to say is that bullets should necessarily go through spawn-shielded players in any case, to avoid a player with a spawn shield being used like a literal shield for his teammates. Right now I don't have anything else to add.

I agree with this completely, it prevents spawn-killing and doesn't give the spawning player any advantage, just some time to move out of their enemy's line of fire and maybe get a gun.

NNC, that's a good point, I didn't think of that, ensure that shielded players can be shot through.

Anyways, +1 from me, nice idea.

i agree with that.it is a great idea for all users who want to stop the spawn kills in deathmatches and team deathmatches.

The spawned Players should not be able to use Guns while their Shield is on (in case they find any before it wears off) or be able to slice the other Players with their Swords while their Ghostly State is on.

I agree Karl, this isn't supposed to give spawning players an advantage, it's just supposed to give them some time to move away from anyone who would otherwise spawnkill them, they're less helpless basically.

how about "immune after respawn for 5 seconds?" it will be fair enough.

This is pretty much the general idea, we just added that the player can't kill others when he is shielded because that would give them an unfair advantage.

On topic, honestly, if you really think about how much a full 5 seconds is, it's too much.
It would break the flow of small maps like Stryde's SniperWar.

More like 2 (possibly 2.5 or 3 at most) seconds would give players enough time to gather where they're going and what they're gonna do before getting shot at.

I'd disagree with you there mingo, essentially, this idea is supposed to allow spawning players to get a weapon to avoid unarmed players from being killed immediately, 2-3 seconds allows you to get out of the way if you spawn into a direct line of fire or in the middle of a battlefield, but in bigger maps it may not be long enough, and in any map, it's not always enough time to obtain a weapon.

4-5 seconds is what I say.

I think in dm and tdm you should always start with guns so will be easier to dont get spawn killed. The first one to react will kill the other one that simple.

If you start with a gun, you'd have to start with a weak one like a pistol so you can't just be OP and spawnkill everyone, and even then, you'd be too weak to really defend yourself, so the same problem as with sword spawnkilling still exists, just to a lesser extent.

There are two solutions to spawnkilling ...

1: Spawn everyone with the full weapon set of a map ... to be honest this doesn't fully solve the problem, if you spawn in an advantageous position you could have an unfair advantage and be able to kill several people.

2: The idea proposed by the original post of this topic.

I think 2 is a good thing to do, it works in plenty of other games.

Uhm no if you give me a weak weapon at the start of the game I won't get spawn killed. Probably you and other noobs will die.

1) No, The one who reacts fast will kill the other.
2) A shield is stupid there are many ways to abuse it. for example u spawn close to an enemy ( can happened) and kill him with swords and he can't kill you.

Just give a gun at the start of dms and tdm

Giving the guns instantly is helpful. But at the same time Chaotic...
People will probably die faster if it happens...
The invincibility Shield thing can be Helpful. And Abused.
The Shots will just go through you while shielded and you are able to move freely for 2 or 3 seconds...
After you attack (No matter what it is from Swords to All Weps Including Gun.6)
You lose the shield (High Powered/Damaged Weps like snipers must have no shield after picked up.)
I really hope everyone sees what i mean here...
