Usekey password

So, something whats maybe usefull for some maps is a password for the usekeys.
When you press a usekey, there appears a big version of it where you can enter numbers from 0-9.

Something like this:

(The '5' is the amount of numbers in the pass)

It have the same working like the other keys, the only difference is the pass.
The map maker decides the amount of numbers in the pass.

+ Extra triggers to change the pass during the game or disable/enable the pass system.

Good Idea, but it would be hard to perform Combat and insert Codes at the same Time.

I'm pretty sure i've seen a similar post to this and it's actually a pretty cool idea! How would the player find the password tho...would it be hidden somewhere in the map?

Hints in the map, or use it for secrets in the map :p
Can be usefull in quiz maps too (ex: question: 'whats 25+25*4', then fill in 125 and the door to the next stage is open :p)

Like pretty much everyone else who has seen this topic, I love this idea, get it to Eric ASAP.

This could create some awesome scenarios in SP maps, the obvious sort of thing is having to kill a certain enemy before finding out the passcode or having to follow certain clues or find the numbers written on the walls.

What if the map maker puts a password with over a million keys?(not million lol)What then?GREAT Idea,overall.If you suggest this to Eric,make sure you put the limit to 20 or 10 for the password.+1

Hey guys,I'll be telling you how I found out PB2 existed.I was 15 and I liked gaming.I was playing Raze and at one point,my friend Alex told me about a game like Raze,but with multiplayer.I asked him ''What's the name of it?''.He didn't know the full name,but he only knew it's 2nd word was Burst and the number is 2.I remembered that I played a game called ''Plazma Burst:FTP''.I thought it might be the sequel,so I googled 'Plazma Burst 2'',and I saw 'plazmaburst2.net'(NOT ADVERTISING!).I used the website until I got AFK and I didn't play for a LONG LONG time.I discovered there was a offical website,I registered by the name ''Linxus'',and bam.It amazed me.I passed the campaign the day before my account got lost.I was Advanced Marine on Linxus.Then I registered 'DeadlyHronos'.I passed 25 levels,and one day,I went into the Multiplayer Unranked Unaprooved.I met B.Bowman there and she was my first friend.After time,I went into the chat and,still with Linxus,someone recruited me to Deadcampers,it was Kiriguraya.I logged into DeadlyHronos again,and I went on.That day when Linxus got lost,I used DeadlyHronos.Time went by,and DeadlyHronos also got lost.Then I made iPegasus.I was very happy because the name was not used.On May 31st,2015,I went into a match called 'DF Recruitment PW:1'.I talked to xMorganax and I asked can I stay.She said yes.Along with another clanmate,we did missions and training.She finally made me a member.Then,when I quit DF for some time,I updated my rank to Lite.I was very happy I got Lite.And now,As iPegasus got lost,I use Hazardous48.That's my story,ya'll.I hope you had fun reading it.And as always,keep smiling,buraz :D .

I think even 10-20 is too much, I should do a max of 5-7 numbers

Will there be ways to decrypt/hack the codes?
And there should be a delete button incase ya get the code wrong.
(Im not too sure on this one...)

Just in case if player tries to answer the password without even knowing what is it there should be a trigger "If passcode is wrong activate trigger A"

That would prevent abusespamming buttons and its triggers with text messages.

But im still not to sure on this one as players would have to spend a long time next to a button if they didn't know the code.

Well, it would have to be used correctly so that it adds depth to a map rather than just being an annoying obstacle. In MP base maps maybe the code to open base doors could be painted on the wall next to where the immortal spawns so that only they know it, unless they wish to share it with trusted players.

In SP as I said in my previous post maybe enemies could be interrogated, maybe they could give the code upon their death, maybe you'd have to do some searching and deciphering clues.

As long as mapmakers use this correctly, it's a good idea.
