Snow

Postby NNC » 1 December 2015, 14:33

Maybe make snow as an option (in the Settings menu) which can be turned on and off? Those who like it could have it for the whole year, while those who don't like it wouldn't need to screw up the clock.
Also, not everyone can mess around with system time, plus living in the wrong month doesn't feel good.

About moving the topic: it was supposed to be in the questions section, but oh well...

I agree to be honest, and snow might cause some lag too; people that want it turned off will be satisfied as well as those who enjoy it on.

Solid idea!

hmm what I am thinking is, switching snow on or off using trigger is better.

I feel as if our topic author wants players to have to choice of whether they want snow on or off.
However, you raise a good point, what if map developers don't want snow in their map at all?

Look, even during Christmas, there are SOME maps that don't need snow on them and it would be nice if mapmakers had the option to turn it on or off.

This is how the algorithm should work in my eyes.

- Mapmaker chooses to have snow on map.

Player 1 can enable snow in the game settings.
Player 1 can disable snow in the game settings.

- Mapmaker chooses to turn snow off.

Player 1 can NOT enable or disable snow in the game settings.
