Maybe I'm wrong, but if you will change something in a post, externally it won't be visible since the topic will be all the same marked as "no unread post" for an user. So it becomes useless. I suggest to correct it. Each change in a post has to be displayed. But if there have passed more than 60 days it is already considered as necropost.

[off-topic] Really? I wasn't the whole year here. So now it is possible to answer 3-month posts without warning?

[on-topic] Even so. Change in your post will be seen only if somebody will come into the topic. But at that moment it will be below in the list. It is easier to make new in my opinion. Maybe I don't know something else?

Any idea when normal users will be able to edit old posts again? :frowning:(edited)

Doomzerker - Last Friday at 7:24 PM
They can for a month after they make them

Residays - Last Friday at 7:25 PM
But why the restriction?

Doomzerker - Last Friday at 7:25 PM
Stops people from vandalising their old posts
In almost all instances, it's really not necessary for people to edit old posts

The problem is, the report button exists, and that decision screwed up:

- Forum Games
- Map threads
- Tutorial threads

Doomzerker - Last Friday at 7:26 PM
In what way?

Residays - Last Friday at 7:26 PM
Forum games: Updates, information change, new players
Map threads: Updates
Tutorial threads: Additional information, updated information

Doomzerker - Last Friday at 7:26 PM
The OP doesn't necessarily need to be changed to reflect that

Residays - Last Friday at 7:27 PM
The OP is often used to hold out the more important information and is also the most viewed post
Please, don't screw up everyone for what rule breakers do, that just lets rule breakers know they're doing more harm(edited)
And you know what that means right? Motivation
Thoughts?

Good thing you mentioned rule breakers being more motivated to do more harm. Now if people/staff could just realize that every rule is eventually going to be broken by someone, that'd be nice too. Putting restrictions that don't help isn't really a solution especially when rule breakers are a minority

Any user can now edit their own forum post regardless of time. Vandalism will be defined and added to forum rules to hopefully punish only rulebreakers.
