'Ask PB2' Section

Postby ZapruderFilm » 9 December 2016, 04:56

Seems like this section would have a lot of meat to it.
Eh? Maybe?
Around The Camp fire subsection maybe?

Explain what kind of things wouldn't fit the Questions section first.
Cause technically both sections are one and the same thing.

Then again i wouldn't shoot that "ask pb2 section" below the ATC section, because it's actually community and game related.
Unlike 60% of the topics in the atc section.

They're all not related to PB2 anyhow. And thus they better suit in ATC rather than elsewhere.

Most of the topics in ATC are on the same basis and they'll always fit there

No, you clearly don't understand
The purpose of the section is to create threads asking the community things, and they reply with their answers.

Most of the topics in ATC already have that purpose, and it's also mostly being used for that.
It's the best section to do that anyways.

PS: Yes what i said above was wrong, too lazy to edit my previous post about the ATC. :P

When the Around the Campfire section was designed, these types of topics were some of the primary expected topics.

I don't see much need to further subdivide and over-complicate a forum which is serving a slowly but ever shrinking community.

You do all also realize that these topics flood other sections as well, not just ATC

Yeah, that's exactly what the General Discussion section's made for.
Sharing opinions and discuss topics all around Plazma Burst.
I still don't see why we need an extra section for "questions" what you like to do on PB2 or whatnot.

I think ZapruderFilm wishes for a Serious Discussion type of subforum in the ATC.

It works like this: In Off Topic Threads People post whatever crosses their Minds (which is almost fundamentally bad) as long as the rules allow it (theoretically; practically, it's not always the case, since not all Staff Teams on the Internet do what they have to do). 4chan is a good example of that.
In Serious Discussion Threads it is very much the same, but the People have to be serious and coherent in their responses and may not do whatever they want (which is glorious if you ask me). Reddit is like this.

I think that this is what he is trying to propose.
