IMO they really fit PB2's general style, but I feel as though I can explain why they don't look like they can be in-game.
My personal problem with them is that they don't fit in as of now. Most guns in-game are currently dark shades of grey (ha ha whatever), deep blues, hints of red/crimson, and the obvious bright yellow of alien guns. Basically, colors in PB2 don't expand past the current, selective palette. Specifically, there's no entity with the bright slate-grey of the first pistol, so it will generally look out of place. The Falkoks are a deep crimson color with patches of dark grey and even some blue, therefore mismatching it with the lighter red of the rifle. Also, as stated earlier, there are no hybrids in-game, so the modified Alien Rifle will also be out of place.
Personally speaking, I believe Terror Only is wrong in the fact that your art needs "extra details and colors." PB2 is a relatively simplistic-looking game; details are rather minimal, and guns are stacked high rather than long. Although I am not much of an artist myself, this is what I believe people need to understand first in order to grasp PB2's aesthetic and style. With all due respect, people (unlike you) seemingly do not seem satisfied with PB2's simplicity, so they continue adding on unnecessary details, sometimes even messing up the entire art beyond recognition; however, for what it's worth - from someone who's not good at PB2 art himself - I think you have the style nailed down. Although I said your concepts and color palettes are a bit different from PB2's, I believe it is just the fact that PB2 is just dull in color choice and variety, NOT that you failed to see through to it.
TL;DR - i like it
