Map Approval Rules Have One Big Problem

If you have paid enough attention, you should know that the staff are willing to ignore all the rules regarding map approval if it's popular enough.

There's one big problem with this:

If these rules can be all easily ignored, what's the point of having them?

In theory, I could host my own map every day to have it gain popularity, and even if it's crap, we have already seen that the staff are willing to approve it.

The rules for map approval are pretty much useless in this case, are they going to be removed, will this exception be explained, or what?

And no, map approvals won't kill the game, it's obvious that most players prefer custom maps anyway.

I think that they're more of a guideline at this point.
