Squad Composition in PB2

Postby tehswordninja » 6 April 2019, 17:13

The PB2 campaign doesn't really show us any sort of units/squads/other groups and enemy tactics are pretty limited to "see enemy, shoot enemy", so I'm curious how people might think factions such as the Civil Security, Correction Nine (before they were shut down), Usurpations, Falkoks, Androids, and even the Human Soldiers from PB1 might organize their squads, and what kinds of squads they would have.

Rules are simple: Just post a picture of a squad you've created, and name what kind of squad it is (Standard Fireteam, Recon, Demolition, Scout, etc) Describe each member of the team (can be as simple as saying one is a Rifleman), and make sure to describe any custom units or special weapon usage. Do try to keep it as close to PB2's campaign as possible, in terms of characters and guns. Feel free to use your own factions as well!

Here's an example:
Standard Civil Security Fireteam

(from right to left)
1x Breacher CS Lite (may be equipped with a CS-RC instead of a CS-DAZ depending on the mission)
2x Riflemen CS Lite
1x Support CS Heavy
1x Team Leader CS Heavy (may opt for a Rocket Launcher or Grenade Launcher instead of a Lite Railgun. Can also use HE grenades instead of Shield Grenades.)

A basic, standard fireteam for the Civil Security. They are somewhat flexible but overall are designed to be allrounder squads capable of handling most basic threats, such as low-level insurgencies.
The size of such a team may range from 4-8. Multiple teams will combine to work as one if need be.

CS counter-Marine Squad

A medium-armed squad designed to hunt down the Marine who is known as a dangerous man during the campaign.
(right to left)

1x SwordMaster (charge toward the marine to gdistract him. Always use swords. Have high health)
2x Demolitioners(use Grenade Launcher and Rocket Launcher to knock the marine off to deal him wall collsion damage)
1x Support (would support the Demolitioners by dealing the marine more damage)

This is pretty interesting. Here's my contribution.

Light Reconnaissance Squad

(right-to-left)
2x Scout/Snipers (One is equipped with spotting equipment, represented by veh. launcher)
1x Support (Flexible unit)
1x Communications officer

Designed for long-range reconnaissance and patrol. When deployed deep behind enemy lines, it's common for recon squads to swap out communication equipment for an additional scout.

Decided to do a couple more, this time focused on what I consider to be the Civil Security's "police": The Civil Protectors.

Civil Protector Patrol

(from right to left)
1 Civil Protector Seargent (Carries CS-DAZ if needed, otherwise only carries standard issue CS-Pro.)
2x Civil Protector Officers

Three man patrols are the standard in low-threat areas. Two regular Officers are lead by a more experienced Seargent. These patrols regularly respond to break-ins and other crimes and rarely engage a threat higher than a lightly armed suspect. Civil Protector patrol vehicles usually have a CS-DAZ shotgun or CS-RC assault rifle onboard, in the event that officers require more than their standard CS-Pro.

Civil Protector Fast Response Team (FRT)

(from right to left)
1 Civil Protector Breacher
2 Civil Protector Breachers (armed with SMGs)
1 Civil Protector Riflemen
1 Civil Protector Seargent

FRT Teams are more armed teams that are quickly sent to high threat level areas. They are somewhat flexible and may equip different loadouts depending on the mission. Three Breachers are used to secure rooms, one armed with a CS-DAZ to breach doors with two armed with close quarters weapons. A rifleman and the Seargent follow with typically longer range weapons. These teams may make use of heavy Android ATM-105s or additional forces, but usually, Civil Security troopers are already on route in situations that require such heavy firepower.
