2-3 weeks ago i was in discord, im chatting with friends
and in a server called "map making [PB2]"
i saw this guy stolen my map

i rushed to my old account to change my map source to closed
i reported him to the staffs ( wich was OBVIOUSLY 2-3 weeks ago ), but his map wasnt deleted, what i got was this

so told him to delete that scam, and guess what, it didnt work, i send eric a message in twitter to delete it, no replies as always

We apologize for the frustration. I'll send this thread to the developer again.

However, please note, that once a map is made "Open source" You are practically giving it out for free. Meaning, anyone can take the design and use it as their own. Even if this was a mistake, there would be nothing we could do about it. It's your responsibility, not ours.

yeah, i should of shut the map souce to closed before i leave my old account
you dont need to ban him, just tell him to delete his copy

I'm afraid as Tempus has said, once you open source a map (or anything, for that matter, be it music or art) it then becomes property of the general public rather than your intellectual property.

You're free to take any open source maps and claim they're yours, legally that's allowed however immoral that might be.

My suggestion to you is instead of berating or telling the person who made the copy to delete the map, express politely that you'd like him to either credit you with creating the map, or ask him nicely to remove it - bear in mind he now owns that map design just as much as you do now.

I heard that sometimes when your map reaches a certain amount of votes, you can rate. Good luck.

Since copying an open source map is not against the Code of Conduct and not replying with your old account, I can see why you are expriencing this, but to be honest, I felt that the Staff should at least replied to you.

the map was disapproved, im calm now but i will keep an eye on him because im trying to make sure he is not a hacker, but if he really did leak the map source, ill open this topic again
