Would You Ever Recommend PB2?

Postby mingo1 » 28 January 2017, 00:24

If one of your friends, who doesn't know what PB2 is, asked you about games to play, would you recommend PB2?

If so, how would you describe PB2?

Take into consideration the state of the game right now, the community, etc.

I'm curious to see how some of our longer-term members respond, and some newer folks!

Let me know! :D

Personally, I would CERTAINLY recommend PB2. I would tell my friend that it is the most innovative free 2D flash game I've ever played, and if I ever have problems with something community members are saying in-game, I can simply mute the chat!

Pretty much what Star said. 3-5 years ago, I'd certainly recommend, today however, definitely not.

The game is really dated, especially for a flash game, has broken multiplayer, and more faults.

PB2.5 hopefully will be much, much better. We'll just have to wait and see.
who needs a PB2.5 release date, anyways?

nice topic mingo1. if a friend of mine wanted to play plazma burst 2 i would recommend him/her to play only the story(campaign) because it is well designed characters and guns,it has an unique story and the sounds either of guns either of the characters are impressive and amazing.

I've recommended the game to some friends long time ago (maybe in 2012 or 2013), but not since then.
Btw they just gave it a try and in a couple of weeks time they left.

Interesting to know, everyone.

I feel that even though the game is MUCH different now, there's still some substance and things to enjoy.

I would recommend it in the past.
Since there used to be different maps open to play on.
Plus I really liked most of the people in the past.
Since most of them would rather play for fun.
But If I would recommend my friends to play right now.
They would probably give up in a few hours or so.

I have played PB2 with some of my irl friends and recommended it to them.

They didn't enjoy the shooter side of the game at all. When we played 2v2 this was basically our conversation

"Dude I shot you"
"dude"
"dude why u no dead"
"the fk I shot you three times man and you didnt take dmg"

I can truly understand that this annoys them. It almost makes me rq at times too

However, they enjoyed the platforming aspect of the game. We played some saw maps and had quite a good amount of fun. The glitchyness of this game made for some hilarious moments. When I would ask them again "yo wanna play pb2?" They will most certainly say: "yes but only saws"

I'd say I've played pb2 with them for around 10 hours and they don't hate the game however they won't even touch competitiv. It's a good game to play when you've run out of games to play

I would not recommend it today as how it was much now today;

- Bad maps to play nowadays.
- Toxic community, uh... I had enough of it.

The good old nostalgic great days are gone.

Hope to see PB2.5 to be a great Improvement.

I'd recommend PB2 with all communication features disabled.
Since this community would instantly turn newcomers away with their usual behavior as well all know.

However, i am not quite sure if these communication features are actually the reason why this community is still alive or not so i am rather quiet with my point up there.

I would, but I would also definitely mention PB2.5. As this game is pretty old, and as Kazy said, newcomers don't get treated very well.

I would recommend it to someone who is not so into FPS and MOBA and more into casual games. I would tell them about the Level Editor, the ability to make maps.

Depends on the person. If they're just playing the game, yeah, I would. The chat can be iffy to newcomers these days, but the forums are generally nice enough to people.

I probably would have (and I actually did) some 5-6 years ago. I wouldn't nowadays though. After 2013 everything went south.

Exactly what I would also do, but I actually should also recommend PB2.5, right? That was my first time hearing a new game which will be developed..

But this game was recommended to me by my friend GhostX5 (Who recommended this game for me), I liked this game, but the problem is the lags, somehow..

Would probably not recommend to anyone else ever. I only play because I like making maps, am semi-good at playing the game and good at arguing with people on the internet. Most people who play this game are like the same kinds of people who play club penguin, except they are all male and claim to have done the business with your mother.

Would I ever Recommend PB2 to anyone? Not in it's current state If this post was made 4-5 years ago, then I would say totally, since PB2 was more playable and stable than it is now, so no. PB2 has a lot of issues that hasn't been resolved, patched or fixed that is making the game's performance abysmal.

If PB2.5. was out, totally would recommend.

Probably wouldn't- not because of the community- that's everywhere, in every game, but because quality map-making has slowed drastically (many of the great map-makers have seemingly stopped). Also, the best maps and best new maps section is horribly broken, based on the fact that many of the maps there are there because everyone gave it a one-star.
As much as I hate to put all my faith into PB2.5 like everyone else here, it may revive the game.
If you take anything I say seriously, you deserve whatever happens to you.
