Guest Names.

When playing on the Servers, Eric Gurt's Approved Version of the 1st Campaign Level is the only Choice. Also, the Players get a Name that means something (this is very, very Familiar).

Does anybody have any Information about why this is happening?

I think they are just incognito names, temporary for now. Probably a mix of two words and combine them together.

Not sure though.

Those names are most likely the words which you would get if you do the "Eric.Gurt" easteregg with your nickname.
I guess Eric did add this to make MP look a little more decent for a while.
Also, Eric is working on the map databases, means he made only one map available during the "maintenance".

That is all i know, even if that might be wrong.

Yes, the 2 replies above me are correct. I've tested this myself as well.

There's some humorous names on the servers right now, but they are completely random. Nobody including yourself can choose what to call themselves, they're just fill-in—meaning names in replacement for you as a guest—for now since the accounts are down.

Eric most likely didn't want everyone to just be "Guest-XXXXX," but rather a funny name like Grape Sculpture.
