There are barely any server ''crashes'' and ''resets''.
More likely it's your connection or DDoS attacks. Or it's maintenance being made by the hosts.
Speaking of DDoS attacks, with this site it is impossible to stop such kind of attacks.
And about the maintenances, that's as well one thing we don't have control of since we don't own them.

So you can be sure IF these servers crash, it is definitely not our fault.

It's not like it only requires us to press a single button to make those servers invincible to any type of problems.

It's not like we should stop making assumptions and shit over things we actually don't know of.

Servers aren't perfect. When they begin to overload or face too much, it has to reset and go into maintenance so it can continue working without being stressed. It happens when there's too much traffic in and out, and too much data being sent in at once. DDoSing causes the same thing - overloading the server with flooded data packets - except the servers are extremely vulnerable because Coolbuddy is just awful at providing decent servers. There's no security or methods to ward off DDoS attacks such as nullrouting, hence the extreme amounts of vulnerability.

The site and this forum are both connected to the same servers. If the servers go down, so do the site and forum. You can't necessarily 'stop' the crashing and resetting unless there's improved and more secure servers or if traffic is reduced.

Speaking of sever crashing and all that, y does it appear to be Cali server mostly to crash even tho Cali sever had issues before? I seriously dont get it. Also when server crashes its really annoying when your being shot over head at the same time and the ping keeps popping on your screen. Is there any possible way to get server fixed because this has gone too far.

Cali has the most people and hence the most traffic out of all of the servers; I can't say it's the most targeted for DDoS attacks because I personally don't know, but it seems likely based off the amount of people. More traffic = higher chance of server overloading, assuming there's a low capacity to how much the server can take, as in the case with PB2. Usually it won't be the case if servers can handle a lot more, but the chance will still increase if traffic increases regardless.

I suggest you read my post because it blatantly answers your question:

There is no point upon fixing anything for the PB2 Beta. Eric is already focusing all work for the 2.5. update, so I don't think people should start pointing the current PB2 issues that has been there for a long period of time.

"PB2 Beta"? What are you talking about?

And BTW, pointing current issues could help to avoid the same issues in PB2.5.

PB2 Multiplayer is still in the beta state, not meant to refer the entire game itself, my bad.

I think this topic has made it clear that we're in no control of whether the servers crash or reset.

So, to avoid that, play another server as one is down or PATIENTLY wait until said server re-establishes.

"But mingo, what can I do while my server is down? I lag if I play on other servers."

Dafuq bro? YOU CAN LITERALLY:

Make a map.
Play the singeplayer campaign (mix it up, try different difficulties, restrict yourself for fun, etc.).
Complete uncompleted achievements in singleplayer.
Message some friends.
Add friends or make new friends via the Players section (scrolling through the top 100 lists and such).
Navigate the PB2 forums and initiate or contribute in some conversation.
Email Eric about ideas you have for PB2.5 or 3, he reads every email (even tweet at him as well).

Among many many many other things.

The worst thing you can do is make a topic about the servers crashing. Please, it's cool if you were concerned about WHY they were crashing, but you literally say in your initial topic "Stop them because it always destroys the fun and always needs 1-2 days to reform" which doesn't even validate for discussion. Enjoy yourself as they're up as I've kindly handed you a solution for when they're down.
Use it well.

Servers are fuсkеd up, nothing we can do about.

But Eric can. If his game was more popular or it had some premium content, then he would take care of making the servers safer and better.

To speed things up, advertise pb2 any possible way and talk to Eric about game issues more often. Or simply wait for pb2.5 and hope for the best.

See the positive side of these crashes :p
Its an exellent way to advertise your maps, just start your map after one of the crashes and everyone will join it :D

Not this again
Ever remember some servers having 600 ppl but no matches at all?
Those stats were glitched. I can't tell when exactly this happened cuz I was not much active. The only thing I can remember is thousands of "PB2 is dying" topics just invaded the forums at some time, and I think I know the reason for that.
