I would like to point five old features that are or did better than the current (new) features in Plazma Burst 2. It contains both the game and the website features in general. So I will go ahead and point them out.
1.Custom Map Listing System
The old custom map list was more better done than the current custom maps listing system. The list had 3 categories. ''New Maps'', ''Today's Popular Maps'', and Best Maps of All Time''. When you publish a new map, it will appear instantly on the list where everyone can see and take a look on. On the current custom map list system, it could take a long time for it to appear on the desired list, not to mention it requires a certain amount of votes to. This I consider a small downgrade. I wish we can go back to it or at least make an improvement to the new one.
2.Physics
Before the update, the physics on both high and low were rather more smooth, no lag, even for those with a poor PC can basically run the game on the highest setting. When the update that involved the v1.17 engine implementation. The update caused the physics to be broken. Proning and wall climbing became very glitchy and unstable as well.
3.Performance
As mentioned above, the old PB2 did not have any lag what so ever and you can run it at high settings. The game play was very smooth. The current performance in PB2 when the FPS system was added and the sudden graphical increase. The game tends to lag severely in multiple occasions. Lag can also happen in over-detailed maps for some reason. Possibly a lot of props and decorations, weapons, etc were added. Not to mention a lot of spam fire can result you to disconnect instantly. Pings then to raise up due to animations from weapons such as the Sniper Rifle. The laser attachment can reduce frames for a few seconds if aimed at you or using in a different angle of some sort. Which can also make you disconnect out of the match (which is one of the reasons I don't play Sniper Wars anymore)
Back then the game never experienced lag spikes as often as of before, I had issues entering ranked matches when suddenly my ping was over three hundred or more and continues to go up, resulting me to disconnect out of the game. There is also times where players join a match and you instantly get disconnected afterwards.
4.Map Browsing
The old map list search was a little more simple and easy to use. I did not like the new list category that separated approved and unapproved maps that very much. Which was the reason why there hasn't been that many people playing ranked matches but seen frequently on unranked and custom map section. You would find a variety of players in every open match, in a large number to. These days people on ranked there is usually 2 or 3 players, rarely around 8 if it's a iconic map like Stryde-Sniper or Eric Gurt-Railwars. Non approved maps were usually found at the bottom while approved were usually the first on top, then later scattered from what I remembered.
5.Player Search
The Old Search Engine was better than the current. You can look for players by putting a name without containing their ENTIRE login name. Even you can search clan members by typing in a desired clan tag like [GSA] or [BoZ]. The new one, you would have to be specific over what player you are looking for, and player logins aren't easy to remember if you do not see them very often.
